The Hydra 2008 Rebetiko CD ROMs.
The Hydra 2008 recordings that I made are now ready. There are two CDs of MP3 files available, consisting of the music from three nights and the conference recordings. I'm happy be able to say that this year, the music recordings from To Steki Taverna and the Douskos Restaurant are much better than in previous years (and those were not too bad anyway). This is because I managed to get the microphone much closer to the music, and further away from people talking and eating.
I will stop selling these recordings soon, as nobody seems interested any more. The old recordings have already been taken off sale. Maybe I am the only person who is interested in live Rebetiko recordings. Maybe all the people who wanted recordings took their own recorders along. I do not know.
Please note that these are not music CDs, they are CD ROMs, and you have to put them in a computer (or one of the modern CD players that can cope with MP3 discs) to get anything at all out of them.

So, you get all of the conference sessions apart from Ed's introduction and closing remarks, plus a little over 7 hours and 23 minutes of lovely Rebetiko. The price is the same as it was for the previous five years, £10.
